How do I take care of my tattoo?
Please take advantage of our information on caring for your new tattoo during and after the healing process. Whether you got your ink from us or someone else, this page will be helpful to return to when tending to your new piece of body art.
during healing
- Keep Tattoo Clean and let it breathe. Do not wear tight clothing over tattoo. No bra straps or elastic of any kind.
- Do Not Soak tattoo in water. AVOID hot tubs and baths. NO SWIMMING FOR 2 WEEKS.
- AVOID working out for the next 3 days.
- Do Not Scratch or pick at your tattoo, no matter how much it may itch.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
ink aftercare
3 times a day for the next 3 days, morning, noon, and night.
Wash tattoo with Antibacterial Soap. Suds it up a couple of times and rinse.
Take a clean paper towel and place it over the tattoo and soak the paper towel with Contact Saline Solution. Let sit on the tattoo for 5-10 minutes. Dry tattoo by dabbing it with a clean paper towel.
Rub Aquaphor "INTO THE TATTOO" (Not goopy, not thick) Just enough to make the skin shiny.
On the 4th Day
Switch to an UNSCENTED LOTION. Use for the next 2 weeks. Tattoo should start to peel at this point. (You do not need to wash it 3 times a day anymore.)
